| Posted: | | | | I want to apply the German Movie Rating System to my DVD Profiler. Is that possible?
For example, we have different definitions of ratings for an adult audience - "adult" doesn´t have to be pornographic because EVERYTHING rated 18 is only for adults, no matter whether it is "Saw", "Caligula", "Emannuelle" or porn. Using only "Adult" as classification for all this movies, is just not right. We have many different classifications for adult movies: FSK 18, Keine Jugendfreigabe, JK/SPIO, Ungeprüft.
I would like to implement these classifications to my DVD Profiler - is that possible?
Another problem is the Genre "Erotic" in the Child Protection Menu: something like the classic "Emannuelle" is in my opinion a great example for "Erotic" and I don´t have a problem with that title in my online list. But I would like to change the classification in the Child Protection Menue from "Erotic" to "Porn". I want only pornographic titles, for example "Caligula", not shown in my online list. Is that possible? |

German Rating is integrated already
If you want to hide certain titles from your online-listing simply highlight them in your collection list, press key-combo "CTRL + P" (German: Strg +P) and flag "Hide in Public Online List").
BTW: Even though containing sexually explicit scenes "Caligula" is not considered to be porn. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | Looking at your collection I think the question is whether the german rating can be applied to all dvd's in your collection, regardless of whether they're German releases or not?
Short answer is yes, but it will break update functionality.
The ratings available in the drop down are controlled by the locality the dvd is submitted under, so if the locality is set to Germany you'll have access to the German ratings, if it's UK you'll only have access to UK ratings.
To change the locality go to the top menu in Profiler and select DVD > Change locality, this will bring up a drop down list.
What you see in that list is usually driven by the region code chosen in the main edit screen of the profile. So you can either change the locality to none or 2 here, or in the change locality drop down you can tick the show all localities box, if you don't see Germany in the list.
This will break the profile update functionality, you are not allowed to submit these changes as they will be wrong and I'm fairly sure you won't see the titles to vote on updates, nor will you receive profile updates when they're released.
