| Posted: | | | | The opening titles of Curse of Frankenstein say Copyright MVMLVII Clarion Film Productions
However, the back cover says Copyright 1957 Clarion Film Productions. Renewed 1985 by Hammer Film Productions Ltd.
Actually, the rules do not mention copyright holder, but I assume that it is the same as licensor? If so, which company should be entered as licensor; Clarion, Hammer or both? | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. Gunnar |

| Posted: | | | | The licensor would be the current copyright holder (current at time of the DVD/BD release). If Hammer still exists, if they still own the rights, and if they have licensed the movie to another company, then they get a credit as licensor.
This is important, because changes of ownership usually aren't tracked in the credits. The copyright renewal was made to prevent the movie from falling into public domain, and not to specifically point out an ownership change. |
