| Posted: | | | | Greetings all,
I am a prospective buyer of DVD Profiler, but wanted to know if I could use this to share my collection with my daughter in another city. I see that I can buy the IOS app and sync over wi-fi at my house, but since she is in another city, she couldn't. I suppose she can access the online "my collection', but wondered how effective that would be in a phone browser?
Is there a mobile view of the online collection? Or is there a way to export from windows app and import to her IOS app?
Just trying to find the right product for my situation. Thanks for any help. |

1) Upload your collection via the Online->DVD Profiler Online feature, then download it via the iOS device. You can make changes in either location, upload, then download again. Note: You will need a paid version of DVD Profiler for Windows to upload a collection larger than 50 entries from your Windows PC.
2) Sync the iOS version with your PC DVD Profiler database as you would over wifi. This requires opening up a port on your router. See www.portforward.com for instructions specific to your router. Note: they offer a paid program to do it automatically, but they also offer free instructions to do it manually. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Representative | | | Last edited: by Ken Cole |
