| Posted: | | | | I was told that the Online Collection was going to be worked on after the Android version. With that currently in beta testing... I am going to take their word for it... and see if we can get a wish lists of how we would like to see it. Ideally I would love to see it look much like the phpdvdprofiler I seen many people use... but I would be happy with 2 particular wishes... 1. Collapsible box sets for Movie Box Sets and TV Series sets... to look like it does in the program.... For example: +Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Complete Series click on the "+" and get -Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Complete Series +Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Season 1 +Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Season 2 +Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Season 3 +Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Season 4 +Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Season 5 +Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Season 6 +Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Season 7 Etc. 2. Cast List Dividers to look like they do in ProgramI like the way it looks in the program... I could take or leave the ability to add cast pictures... probably not realistic for the online. I hate the way it looks in the online collection... In my personal opinion... the extra spacing and the line for the end divider looks terrible. It looks much better with indented cast for the dividers like the program has. But as I said... an online that looks like phpdvdprofiler would be my top #1 choice if it could be done! What other must changes can you think of. If by the slightest chance Invelos is right and they are hitting this next... lets give them the ideas that we want! | | | Pete |

While I hope the online collection gets revamped I am more looking forward to this: Quoting Ken Cole:Quote: We'll be implementing a global edit for contribution evaluator use. This will allow us to make a decision on a particular range of titles and standardize them directly. In this particular case, the titles will be Men in Black, Men in Black II and Men in Black III. Details on the forthcoming implementation will be posted before we begin making any profile changes. | | | HDTV: 52" Toshiba Regza 52XV545U AVR: Onkyo TR-707 Speakers: Paradigm Monitor 7 v6, CC-190 & Atom Monitors Subwoofer: Definitive Technology ProSub 800 BD/DVD: Oppo BDP-93 (Region Free) HD PVR: Motorola DXC3400 500GB w/ 1TB Expander BD/DVD/Game: 250GB PS3 Slim DVD/Game: 250GB XBox 360 Elite Special Edition (Black) Game: Wii Remote: Logitech Harmony One w/ PS3 Adapter WHS: Acer H341 Windows Home Server |

| Posted: | | | | Custom cover images would be high on my list, for all the re-releases that are getting the "wrong" image as is. Of course, this would involve uploading these re-release images yourselves.
And, of course, a generic overhaul to bring the online more up-to-date (looks like 10 years old now, which actually isn't far off), with at the very least: - better image resolution - more sorting and filtering options. |

Of course at the option of the user. | | | HDTV: 52" Toshiba Regza 52XV545U AVR: Onkyo TR-707 Speakers: Paradigm Monitor 7 v6, CC-190 & Atom Monitors Subwoofer: Definitive Technology ProSub 800 BD/DVD: Oppo BDP-93 (Region Free) HD PVR: Motorola DXC3400 500GB w/ 1TB Expander BD/DVD/Game: 250GB PS3 Slim DVD/Game: 250GB XBox 360 Elite Special Edition (Black) Game: Wii Remote: Logitech Harmony One w/ PS3 Adapter WHS: Acer H341 Windows Home Server |

| Posted: | | | | All these sound good! Would really like to have them all for the online collection! Though I do think that the custom cover art is a bit of wishful thinking... would be completely shocked if we actually get it... thrilled... but shocked! | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | Original Titles view please! At the moment if your sort title in local db is same as original title the online also sort them by original title but only shows localized title. The end result is, hmmm... intresting. |

Etc. If we are to get collapsible box sets (to which I have no objection) I think it should be accompanied by a search or filter feature. I have a lot of movies in boxed sets that would be difficult to find otherwise. --------------- | | | Last edited: by scotthm |

| Posted: | | | | Another thing I would like to see... a section for the links in "My Links" this way any visitor can look at the trailer or what have you from your online collection. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | With Ken's Announcement... looks like "DVD Profiler Online Plus" will be coming before too long! Any other ideas that might make it a lot better? This one may be hard to do. But I would like to see something where we can upload our local cover art. I understand that would be asking a lot of the servers/space. But maybe a way to add a picture link to the front and back cover art so that we can point it to another online source we can upload the covers to? Don't know how realistic that is either though. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | How about (and I don't know how difficult it would be to do this) some way to include... and exclude... each field in the program. That way we could make our online lists look exactly as we would want. | | | Pete |
