| Posted: | | | | just need some help with multiple collections.
story is i want to print out my collection but i dont have a printer on my computer.
i have my profiler on my computer with my collection, and my father has his collection on his computer which is the one with the printer.
now i know that you can have multiple collections on the profiler so i created a new collection on my dads computer and restored a backup of my collection so i can print it.
now here is the problem, its not a exact copy of what i have on my profiler.
for example: i have my Bond 50 blu ray set listed as a boxset with the individual covers and profiles for each bond movie when you expand it on my comp, but on the backup i loaded onto my dads profiler its not a boxset, its all seperated.
also on my profiler, i went through every single profile and edited it so it all come up alphabetically and the titles all match up, but again on the backup i loaded onto my dads, its not listed the same way as my comps profiler.
if anyone could help me figure out how to create a exact copy on another computer it would help me alot.
thanks |

| Posted: | | | | This will not solve the problem of a restored database not matching the original, but if what you want to accomplish is printing, use a "print to file" driver that will output a PDF, etc. Cute PDF Writer is easy as pie. (You may already have Microsoft XPS Document Writer on your PC.) |

What I was going to say, CutePDF is quick and easy to use! | | | HDTV: 52" Toshiba Regza 52XV545U AVR: Onkyo TR-707 Speakers: Paradigm Monitor 7 v6, CC-190 & Atom Monitors Subwoofer: Definitive Technology ProSub 800 BD/DVD: Oppo BDP-93 (Region Free) HD PVR: Motorola DXC3400 500GB w/ 1TB Expander BD/DVD/Game: 250GB PS3 Slim DVD/Game: 250GB XBox 360 Elite Special Edition (Black) Game: Wii Remote: Logitech Harmony One w/ PS3 Adapter WHS: Acer H341 Windows Home Server |

On Win7 and Vista you should have "Microsoft XPS Document Writer" already installed, just print your reports to files and take those to your father's machine. now here is the problem, its not a exact copy of what i have on my profiler. hm, IT-standard-answer: "That shouldn't have happened." That could be if your father has the "Collection -> Nest Box Sets" option turned off. Other than the obvious Sorting-Settings I have no idea what this could be. cya, Mithi | | | Mithi's little XSLT tinkering - the power of XML --- DVD-Profiler Mini-Wiki |
