Because of space, I put all my dvd's in paper sleeves. When I get to TV box sets I want each sleeve to have a different stock number. An example would be

Homeland: Season One Disc 1
Homeland: Season One Disc 2
Homeland: Season One Disc 3
Homeland: Season One Disc 4

Each of these disc's would have a consecutive stock number.

How do I do this?

Thanks

Depending on what you actually want to achieve, there are several possible solutions.

The easiest way would be to add a Child-Profile for every disc and attach collection numbers.

But when working with paper-sleeves the probably better solution would be to use "Location / Slot" in the "Personal" Tab of the profile editor. Here you could add a unique location ID which would make finding the disc a lot easier.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

I use the Discgear 100 Selectors for storage. I label each storage unit with a number then I assign every disc a "Collection Number" in DVDP like this:

Slot 25 in storage box 3 is "Collection Number" 3025. I chose to use Collection Number because that shows by default in DVDP for iOS.

This is exactly what Location/Slot is designed for.
No need to mess with collection numbers, simply give it Location: 3 / Slot: 25.
