Came across a credit that I don't recall seeing before.

"Series Producer" and "Series Producer/Director"

Of note is that there are other Producers credited. In regards to the "Series Producer/Director" there are other producers credited, but no Director.

Do they get a credit in profiler?

The way you've described it, I'd credit them, yes.

The fact that you have deliberately not mentioned the title or UPC shows that you have something to hide and might be trying to get a certain response to back up something you want to contribute.

If that's not the case, then why not mention the title or UPC?

Wow, where in the world did that come from?

I ask a simple question and get accused of something that I have never done.

But I'll play nice, even though I don't like your tone.

I've seen the Series Producer credit before on some Animal Planet and Discovery Channel shows.  In those it generally appears at the end, under a heading like "For Animal Planet."

Starting work on season 3 of this and 3 episodes in the same credit is shown. No director is credited other than this credit.

I've also seen it recently in the In Search of... series from the 1970's. The Series Producer is always credited in the opening credits though. The only other valid Producer credit is the Executive Producer.

And Supervising Producer, surely?

"Do include "Supervising" credits in the above categories, examples: "Supervising Art Director", "Makeup Supervisor", except where explicity forbidden above."

It was not quite clear as far as a consensus, do we credit "Series Producer" in a tv series/documentary?

Not sure what I think about this. I have two thoughts. First invelos could decide to allow so, not sure how I feel about that especially if there are standard producing credits as well. Or we could allow it IF there is a corresponding series director. I think I like the latter but not sure.

I am not sure either.  I have been doing a lot of history channel documentaries lately and it seems that most have producer/director credits.  But also a series producer and or director.

I was hoping when I saw this there would be more discussion on it.

Any discusison here is moot anyway. Use your own judgement. If unsure, I would exclude it.
