I'm sure this has been asked (and answered), but I couldn't find it in a search.

How do I filter on all titles that are Blu-Ray (i.e. BD disc or BD Combo pack)? I can filter on Blu-Ray, or I can filter on Blu-Ray and DVD, but I can't seem to filter on both. I did have the idea of creating a tag based on if the title had a blu-ray disc or BD as part of the set, then filter on the tag. But this requires opening each disc and marking the tag, which is very invloved and has me wondering if there is a bulk edit option (another forum question on it's own)?

Any help here would be much appreciated!

In the "Filters"-window go to tab "Formats" and flag "Blu-ray"

With this you can filter on multiple MediaTypes as well:
- Grey means: Filter not active
- Black means: Filter active
- White means: Do not show ...
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

What's wrong with Filters -> Formats -> Media Type -> BluRay?

After rereading your post, it might be that you actually want a filter that shows only those profiles that contain Blu-ray and DVD.

With the program's defaults this is not possible.
Tags and/or Custom Media Types might be of help here.

You can do it all with filters. Think of the greyed out checkmark as "don't care"

So, Blu-Ray's only: Check Blu-Ray, uncheck DVD and HD DVD
DVDs only: Check DVD, uncheck Blu-Ray and HD DVD
      Combo BD+DVD: Check Blu-Ray, grey-check DVD
Either Blu-Ray (only) or DVD (only): Check Blu-Ray, Check DVD, uncheck HD-DVD and select "OR" radio button
Either BD or Combo Pack: Check Blu-Ray, grey-check DVD, uncheck HD-DVD and select "OR" radio button

Wow,

I live and learn, just noticed the AND / OR Option.

I stand corrected: You can filter for Combos with the given filter-sets.

Quote:
Combo BD+DVD: Check Blu-Ray, grey-check DVD

One minor correction here:

Combo BD+DVD: Check Blu-Ray, check DVD, "AND" radio button

Correct. AND is the default, so I didn't mention it.

Sorry, I didn't mean to post and disappear. I thought I had subscribed to the post, but I did not.

The one thing I want to do with filtering is to filter on all titles that have a Blu-Ray as part of the pack. So this would include Blu-Ray only titles and BD/DVD combo packs. Since my collection is "all" one collection, I want to determine how many Blu-Rays I have, and which ones I have.

Earlier I had tried several different filtering options, and I wasn't getting what I wanted. I just tried it again, and I think I have hit upon the correct combination. Blu-Ray set to solid check, DVD set to grey check, and And/Or set to "And." This seems to be giving me the results that I want.

Thank you for your input, it has put me on the right path. I've been using DVDProfiler for years, but I just finally got aroung to updating to the latest verion and getting my entire collection cataloged and onto the library shelves. I'm overwhelmed with the changes and trying to get caught up, but I am happy with DVDProfiler and glad I made that investment several years ago.

If I'm missing anything, please chime in...

Thanks!
