| Posted: | | | | I have been using DVD Profiler for iOS on both my iPad and iPhone for quite awhile now and recently purchased the desktop version to run on my MacBook Pro via Crossover. When I first imported my collection from my iOS database I was given the option of adding the child profiles but I did not do this as I was not sure what they were at the time. Now I would like to add them but cannot figure out a way to do this unless I select each title and then go add the child profile that way. So is there a way where I can have the desktop program go through and add the child profiles automatically or am I stuck having to do each title individually?
Also, I would like my total number of owned discs to reflect the number of titles I own and not the number of discs. What I mean is that I would like my Lost Complete series box set to count as 1 and not the 36 it adds to my owned total. So is there a setting I am missing somewhere that will allow for this?
Thanks in advance for any help that may come. |

| Posted: | | | | You can check for child profiles for all by:
1) Selecting CTL-A (Flag all filtered). If no filters active this is everything. 2) Collection menu -> Flagged -> Check for child profiles.
This will check all profiles for children.
NOTE: Sometimes box sets are re-issued with different disc IDs for the child profiles so sometimes you may get the time child disc more then once (One copy for each unique disc ID) so you may want to check to see each set to see what matches your collection.
For the counting of profiles you can go into each profile, go to the "Personal Information" section and you will see a "Count As" option. You can set this to 0. |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks a bunch! This seems to be working and getting the child profiles added. There is a check box that says "Lock the box set contents of this profile". What exactly does that mean? |

| Posted: | | | | Just change one of the entry's Count As to 0, then select DVD->Copy. Then, flag all the profiles you want to change and select Collection->Flagged->Paste. Check ONLY 'Count As'. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Representative |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks for the info Ken. I am really loving the desktop version but I am still a bit overwhelmed with all the options compared to the iOS version. Plus running it on a Mac via Crossover makes things a bit funny. Still beyond glad I purchased the program though! |

1. I can't find the point "2) Collection menu -> Flagged -> Check for child profiles." I don't have it on the menu (DVD Profiler PC Version 3.8.2). Can someone help me?
2. I know on some disc titels I had looked the child profiles in the past. How can I unlook them now? |

| Posted: | | | | 1) What don't you have? Do you see the 'Flagged' under 'Collection'?
2) Open the profile, goto BoxSet and you should see the lock icon, you can toggle it to be locked or unlocked. | | | HDTV: 52" Toshiba Regza 52XV545U AVR: Onkyo TR-707 Speakers: Paradigm Monitor 7 v6, CC-190 & Atom Monitors Subwoofer: Definitive Technology ProSub 800 BD/DVD: Oppo BDP-93 (Region Free) HD PVR: Motorola DXC3400 500GB w/ 1TB Expander BD/DVD/Game: 250GB PS3 Slim DVD/Game: 250GB XBox 360 Elite Special Edition (Black) Game: Wii Remote: Logitech Harmony One w/ PS3 Adapter WHS: Acer H341 Windows Home Server |

Can someone help me? Problem with an old layout, those menu-items are defined by the layout. Solution 1) If you have the standard-layout simply go View -> Load Layout and reload the fitting Invelos-Default. Solution 2) Right-click on the menu -> Customize -> Commands -> Collection and scroll down in the right window till you see Check for Child Profile. Left click and drag it to the Collection -> Flagged menu. Save you Layout afterwards! cya, Mithi | | | Mithi's little XSLT tinkering - the power of XML --- DVD-Profiler Mini-Wiki |
