| Posted: | | | | I am unable to sync my iPad 2 to DVD Profiler on my PC. Syncing to my iPhone 5 works just fine. I have historically had no problems syncing to either device since the apps first came out. The problem started a few weeks ago.
I have verified the IP and Port - it's the same on iPad, PC and iPhone.
On the iPad, when I connect, it starts off just fine all the way through Reading database. Then, at the beginning of Copying Profiles, it just stops and says unable to connect. Nothing I do can get it to go beyond this point.
I have tried a repair on my database but that didn't change the outcome.
Any suggestions?? |

| Posted: | | | | Since upgrading to version 3.8.2 I have been unable to sync my ipad3 or iphone4 to DVD Profiler. Both have the latest firmware. The server and port settings are correct and sharing is turned on - I keep getting an unable to connect - please ensure that DVD profiler is running and that sharing is active.
I'm running Windows 7
All worked fine prior to the upgrade |

Does that mean that you have the same problem as the original poster, i e getting the error message part way through the update, or that you cannot connect at all? Those are two different problems. | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. Gunnar |

| Posted: | | | | I also face the problem that my iOS devices cannot sync since a while. They do not connect at all even IP and port are same. |

| Posted: | | | | I am also having this problem. I have used my iPad for as long as DVD Profiler has been available on it and never had a sync problem until recently.
I scan new movies on my iPad and then, when it occurs to me, I startup DVD Profiler on my PC and sync. The last successful upload was probably sometime in Jan. I can't recall whether I got an updated DVD Profiler from the App Store.
Now when I select to update my default database it connects and then hangs, and eventually fails, on uploading changes. I tested that the DVD Profiler port is open on my network (not being blocked by Firewall). I have rebooted both my PC and my iPad. I have run database repair on the PC.
I don't want to turn off "Send changes" on the ipad to see if its an issue with uploading just yet because I will lose what I have changed, plus I would rather help fix the problem. I can sync from my iPhone so I'm guessing that my ipad is trying to send something to my pc that dvd profiler doesn't like. Very happy to help analyse this further if I can get some direction. | | | Last edited: by BradJJ |

| Posted: | | | | I originally purchased DVD profiler in 2012,and had sync problems from the get-go (iPhone 4S to PC - still does not work). I eventually decided the problem had to do with my networking hardware, as the issue persisted over a couple of DVDP and iOS upgrades and across a few other Windows PCs and laptops. The solution for me was to use the online database as a buffer, uploading from the iphone and downloading to the PC. |
