| Posted: | | | | The new Criterion BD release of Brazil contains an overview where the film title is underlined instead of in bold or italics. Is there any way to underline a word in the overview? If not, how should this be entered into the overview within DVD Profiler? In the past, before bold and italics were part of the overview application, quotes were used for this markings. Is something similar still valid for underlining, or should the text just be left plain? | | | Scott |

In the meantime, it's a possibly worthy feature request. Although IMO extremely low priority, I guess it would be easily implemented. http://www.invelos.com/Forums.aspx?task=viewtopic&topicID=640819 |

| Posted: | | | | Hmmm fascinating. Not logical, but when is Hollywood logical. I agree with sams comment, but what to do in the meantime. Not sure. Pete, you recall this discussion from way back when, your way doesn't make it a title, but one word. It's the only one I have heard of like this. I hesitate to say bold it or italicize it for obvious reasons. We could use the old system and ken could convert it to underline easy enough, since its only one. notr to Hollywood if you start printing titles in color, shut up skip, don't give them any ideas | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! | Posted: | | | | I am not sure what you were saying to me Skip. I am sure it was from a simple typo.... but can't think of what you were trying to say.
With the current rules I don't see how you can do anything but ignore the underlining. It is not bold or italic.... so per rules can't use either one for it. Adding single quotes can't be done with how the rules are written now...as they don't appear on the case so wouldn't be exactly as on case...so would have to vote no to that as well. That only leaves plain text... at least until the rules are changed. No different then we tell people about color text. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | With all the profiles I have I thought I would scan an underline, but.... You can't scan for underlines using Other. I usually the Nuance OmniPage, OCR to get the overview and copy as plain text. And add the bold and the lilacs. Depending on type background, It does a better job than my typing.
Since there so many 'dos' and 'don't's' in the rules and haggling in the forum any more is why I don't contribute much anymore. It takes much time. The whole damn thing has gotten to anal.
I added the credits for 3 episodes of Mairet's (a French TV series), 1 episode per disc, it took all afternoon, it was either that or pay bills, write checks. I think I'll just write the checks next time. Since pretty popular in Europe, I thought I'd check the Online DB, 104 profiles, of which 2 were mine, those and 2 other were the only ones with anything correct in them. IMDB was prety close for the cast, but the disc credits are in French. | | | We don't need stinkin' IMDB's errors, we make our own. Ineptocracy, You got to love it. | Posted: | | | | That's why I use an HTML field for the overview. It allows me to add a simple < u > tag around it. It also allows for things like < small > for footnotes or < hr> for breaking an episode list from the overview. |
