| | Posted: | | | | after 7 months of hard graft, now time for some holiday and get down to the important things in life, like watching films and a few more contributions.
Noticed something recently that I thought i'd mention,
currently running DVDP on my w7 ultrabook, happily connected to my home wireless with the typical 192.168.0.* ip range.
as it only comes with 2 USB ports, i didn't want to tie up 1 with a bluetooth/wireless adapter for a mouse so i got myself a hp wireless mouse that piggy-backs off my wireless adapter by creating a virtual wireless adapter. this runs on a slightly different range of 192.168.173.*
picked myself up a new ipad, bought DVDP for IOS and it runs wonderful. as such i then had to delve into database sharing.
but i then noticed that within DVDP, when i look at the bottom of the screen to where it shows the sharing details it displays the ip of the wireless mouse connection.
not a problem or irritation for myself, more a question of how DVDP picks which adapter to display the details of on screen. |

It is possible that they never tested with a virtual wireless adapter. There are cases where you get a list of devices from Microsoft APIs, and maybe they don't expect more than one active wireless device in the list and pick the first one, instead of looking for a match with port/MAC address.
