| Posted: | | | | Was trying to clean up some variations in studio names, between "Fuji TV" and "Fuji-TV" (the latter of which shouldn't exist, from what I can tell; there's no dashes in the names I've seen so far), and realized there's two other variants on the company name, "Fuji Television" and "Fuji Television Network".
The full, proper name of the company is "Fuji Television Network, Inc."
Its logo/brand is "Fuji TV".
Almost all references on discs and covers are either "Fuji TV" or "Fuji Television". About 5% of all discs use "Fuji Television Network".
The rules say there shouldn't be variances based on simple semantics, so I was trying to work out which of these is the best option to standardize on.
Other discussions have implied a simple "as credited" approach.
Any opinions on which way it should go? |

| Posted: | | | | There is no common name for studios. The data is what it is and the studio credit os historically important. Again whatever the data says, it is. Fuji television network is probably the answer but I would have yo see how it is credited. You offer a mish mash of info that is confusing, we dont credit logos, what does the onscreen say | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! CBE, MBE, MoA and proud of it. Outta here

Yes, my info is confusing; that's why I'm trying to get second opinions.
On-screen says one of: Fuji TV, Fuji Television, or Fuji Television Network, depending on the disc. 95% of the time it's Fuji TV (presumably the brand name, as it's the same as what's shown on the logo) or Fuji Television, which is why I was hesitant to use Fuji Television Network. |

You can track the history of most studios through their name evolution. | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! CBE, MBE, MoA and proud of it. Outta here
