I agree, no; unless it says "Digitally Remastered Edition"

I removed it from a profile, it does not say Digitally Remastered Edition, and received a "no" vote so I thought it best to check.

I agree with the others, it is not an edition.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

If it is not an edition, what I can agree, let me know where you write it then too. Into Other Features? I find it is a worthfull information good to know, so we have to put it somewhere as it is a database about films and all informations about the film is important to me.

Agreed, it's not an edition.

I really view it more as a Film Description, and those don't go in Other Features either.

By definition (just about) anything that gets put onto a DVD or BD must be digitally remastered... it just means the film/video has been transferred into a digital format. It's pointless information as it means nothing.

Exactly. It is Marketing-speak, 'promising' a closer resemblance to the initial release quality, luring you into a purchase. But you'll have to watch the picture to see whether it really is so. Technically it means nothing more than Voltaire wrote. Any DVD or BR is nothing more than a lot of plastic and bits. Well, most of it

If it is important, say it. Otherwise, let silence speak.

Not unless there is an Analog Remaster of the same film.

It's not always marketing speak though, the original Dr Who series releases are much improved in quality because they have been restored, unfortunately they use the same digitally remastered description as everybody else.
