| Posted: | | | | The German profile (incl. children) seems to be quite OK already.
We have the usual problems with cloned profiles that are not quite accurate, but this should be sorted within the next week.
Not sure if the discs are identical worldwide, but I doubt it, since the British version seems to have at least two discs without German audio (while the German set has, of course, all discs with German audio). | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! | Posted: | | | | I have the child profiles done already, with the exception of the cover (which I've scanned, but haven't cleaned or cropped yet). Most of the previously released Bond films are already in the database under the same disc IDs (I checked each and every one), so there were only nine new profiles, plus "Casino Royale" and "Quantum of Solace," which don't have disc level profiles in the system, and the bonus disc. I should be able to enter them tonight, after I catch up with things (I've been out all day and just got home). |

You have a life outside of DVDProfiler?
Heretic! How do you know that I wasn't out all day doing DVD Profiler-related things? |

| Posted: | | | | So far when I added the profiles by disc ID I got the following: Dr. No, From Russia with Love, Goldfinger, Thunderball, Live and Let Die, Moonraker, For Your Eyes Only, The World is Not Enough, and Die Another Day, 10 out of 22 that were on the system and I previously owned. When I get a break I going back and check the disc IDs I have in the profile with the actual discs. In the last week I built and added over a hundred profiles and have been busy trying to complete them, less cast and crew credits.
In that period of time, a short that was draining my truck battery leaving me stranded, a brake cylinder leaking fluid, getting new tie rods that were about to fall off, and a passenger door window that al of sudden would not close and door lock that would not work, about $2,000.00 spent on it, that's a lot dvds. But hey, in two years, 25 years old it will be a classic and I won't have have it smog checked and a special license plate. | | | We don't need stinkin' IMDB's errors, we make our own. However, they all have the wrong covers etc. As I watch each one I am doing a full audit and submitting. Did Dr. No and From Russia With Love today. |

| Posted: | | | | As the media finds more reasons to issue new releases and repackaging, we need a solution for the increasing number different cover scans for the same disc id. | | | We don't need stinkin' IMDB's errors, we make our own. In principal I agree. However, they all have the wrong covers etc. As I watch each one I am doing a full audit and submitting. Did Dr. No and From Russia With Love today. AIUI the BDs that were previously released have simply had new disc art put on them so will be identical to previous releases (if previous releases had been submitted by Disc ID) so will indeed have 'incorrect' covers for the new set. This may be a case where one Disc ID disc is contained in multiple sets and the 'first one released' wins. However I certainly appreciate you going through each one and checking/correcting/submitting the right version where appropriate , especially since I don't have a BD drive to do them myself. Watched Dr No on Sunday but haven't got time on a weekday evening to watch the next one(s) at the moment as I'm helping my wife revise for her upcoming OU exam | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |
