| Posted: | | | | So, after putting it off for I don't know how many years now, I finally updated my entire collection last week! So first of all, thanks to Ken for the wonderful new comparison screen. Without that, I'd still be looking at a database many, many, many years out of date. And thanks to all the contributors as well! The most shocking thing was actually how little had changed. I expected 90% to be big, massive beasts to compare. But we've done such a great job on our database, that many profiles were nothing more than updates for color or just a few little things. Well done everyone! Now I'm in position to jump back into my plug-ins. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. Create fake parent profiles to organize your collection. |

| Posted: | | | | You're welcome! ... oh, wait... not really directed at me at a minimal contributor That must have been a chore to get through that any updates. But I agree about the helpfulness of the new comparison system. Tweaks and featured to what you can see in your local database have been nice, but the new comparison screen has made comparing images as well as text so much easier/faster. | | | If at first you don't succeed, skydiving isn't for you.

| Posted: | | | | It was a chore. But very much less of a chore than in the past. It took a while, but I just did a little here, a little there. Try to just get through the A's. Or B's, C's & D's. When you do it in smaller chunks, it's not nearly so bad. Plus the new tools help tons. And like I said, I was surprised at how good our data actually is. There were plenty with lots and lots of changes. But there were probably more that were just small tweaks and it took only a second or two to figure out. I honestly expected things to be much, much, much worse than it actually was. Not to say it was easy. Just easier than expected. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here.
