I just purchased a BluRay DVD with a 14 digit UPC code instead of the usual 12.  Does anyone know if DVD Profiler will handle these extra digits.  I have entered the DVD into my system but Profiler was fighting it all the way, telling me that the code was incorrect and that I should check it.  I tried to offer it up as a contribution to the online data base, but I don't think it went up because it asked me to check the UPC code.  Anyhow, if anyone wants to follow up the code is 02454377230950, and I'd be happy to send a scan of the back cover to verify this.

I suspect part of it will be a company sub-code and not part of the official UPC; can you put a scan up in this thread just of the code area so we can have a look and see what it looks like?

The first 6 digits of the UPC (024543) are "assigned" the Twentieth Century Fox. What I mean is: Every company/publisher (DVD, magazine, cd, etc.) gets assigned a prefix, or those first 6 digits, of the UPC. So all of Sony's DVD/Blu's will start with 043396-, Warner's will start with 883929-, etc.. Those last 2 digits in your example are the 2 above the last set of UPC bars and we don't enter those. We only enter the first 12 digits (13 if it's an EAN - for European localities). I did a quick Google search of 024543772309 and it looks like you have The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel Blu-Ray, correct?
My one wish for the DVD Profiler online database: Ban or remove the disc-level profiles of TV season sets. It completely screws up/inflates the CLT.
FACT: Imdb is WRONG 70% of the time! Misspelled cast, incomplete cast, wrong cast/crew roles. So for those who want DVD Profiler to be "as perfect as Imdb", good luck with that.
Stop adding UNIT crew! They're invalid credits. Stop it!

Is there a small space between the first 12 and the last 2 digits, similar to this EAN-code? If yes, disregard those last two, they are not part of the UPC.

the code is 02454377230950

024543772309 would be a valid UPC
