Touched by Angel: Season 3 - Thomas R. Burman | | | My one wish for the DVD Profiler online database: Ban or remove the disc-level profiles of TV season sets. It completely screws up/inflates the CLT.
FACT: Imdb is WRONG 70% of the time! Misspelled cast, incomplete cast, wrong cast/crew roles. So for those who want DVD Profiler to be "as perfect as Imdb", good luck with that.
Stop adding UNIT crew! They're invalid credits. Stop it! |

Surely, as with other polls we need to wait until there is conclusive proof before calling a winner. I've been crucified for calling it too early in the past (which is the point I was attempting to make in my PM to you). |

If I submit a profile with a set of cast/crew data today, then I need to have a common name today. Well, today, this man's common name for our purposes is Thomas R. Burman. As it stands, there's no indication of any ambiguity. For instance: there are no film titles left that appear under two name variants in the CLT. Also, "make-up effects" is a fairly new crew category, making the chance of heaps of old IMDb-mined data a bit smaller than usual. Of course, if we learn something new tomorrow, things may change - but that's always the case. Our common names are never set in stone, and are always liable to change at some point in the future. If we had to "wait" for all of them to be set in stone, we simply couldn't contribute any cast/crew data. Instead, we don't have to wait until they've stopped working and all their credits have hit DVD, 'cause we're always working with the situation of today. |
