Hanging head in shame. Couldn't find answer in search.

Have managed to lose the "File"menu, messing with layoiuts. I can put the icon equivqlents on toolbars, using customize, but somehow the whole File menu has disappeared, no matter what Layout I load.

Any suggestions? It must be something dumb I did ...

there should be a small menu/button on the right side. Click it to find how to restore your file menu..

Not finding anything. Going out for coffee. Maybe the cobwebs will clear ...

All the toolbars are enabled, including Main Menu. Just can't find the actual Main Menu items.

(Yes, I was messing with plugins, OK. I did it (accidentally). But now, how do I undo it?)

Try the following:
Right Click onto the menu-bar
From context menu choose "Customize..."
Tab "Options"
Button "Reset my usage data"

If this doesn't work try:
"Tools -> Options -> Utilities -> Reset All Menus
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

OK, already tried the former. Will try the latter when I get back home. Having a nice coffee.

Of course I can only get to the Tools menu from the icon. Whole main menu is hidden.

Ok, the latter worked.    (I can hear the ghost of Fred Sanford (Redd Foxx) in my ear "you big dummy!").

Thanks a bunch. Stuff like this doesn't usually stump me ...
