| Posted: | | | | I just came across a problem with a tv series I'm working on.
On some of the episodes the menus episode name is incorrect and doesn't match the actual episode according to online sources.
So, do I just enter the incorrect episode name or correct them to the actual episode name based on online sources? |

| Posted: | | | | Where is the info going? I would take it for the cast and crew sections? Or is it for the overview... if for the overview whatever is on the case would win.
If it is for cast and crew dividers...
I wouldn't change it based on an online source. Is the name of the episode on the episode itself? If it is I would use the name in the episode itself with the episode as your source. If it isn't I would stick to the menu episode names. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | Even in today's day and age sometimes TV networks decide to air the first episodes of a new show in the wrong order. Later on DVD they are fixed. This happened most infamously with Firefly. But also with the first season of Leverage where except for the 1st, 2nd, 12th and 13th episode every episode was scrambled when it aired. Maybe we can help if you tell us the name of the show and the episodes you think are scrambled. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

| Posted: | | | | It's a Mill Creek set of Betty White shows. Show = Date with the Angels Episodes are: Chip Off the Old BlockPike's Piqueend credits start around 25:30 using those and various sites they are reversed on the menu. So on the menu it shows Chip off the Old Block, but the episode is Pike's Pique and vice-versa. At this point I stopped doing anything with the profile. | | | Last edited: by CubbyUps |

| Posted: | | | | So it is the order of the episodes? You use the order they are on the disc. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | On the menu it shows Chip off the Old Block, but when selected and played the Pike's Pique episode plays. The same is true the other way around too. Select Pike's Pique and the Chip Off the Old Block episode plays.
Of the two disc, 20 episode set it's episodes #15 & #16 that are messed up on the menu display.
Don't know about episodes 17 and on since I stopped working on the profile. |

| Posted: | | | | To me that sounds more like a programming error to the DVD than that the episodes are meant to be shown in that order. If the episode really is e.g. Pike's Pique and you know it is, it wouldn't matter to me at least if it said otherwise in the menu. I mean, common sense. IMO a programming error to a DVD is totally inferior both what you see on screen and what it says on the cover, in the inlay sheet, or whatever. Some productions are just cheap so stuff like that can happen. Even subtitles can be switched around. I wouldn't base a cast/crew list on what a DVD menu says, either way. |

| Posted: | | | | I agree with MikaLove. As it sounds like a messed up menu, I would use the proper title of the episode. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. | Posted: | | | | Just went through and profiled the rest of the episodes and they are correct.
It's only those two episodes that are switched on the menu.
I'll link to this thread in my notes about the menu error. |
