| Posted: | | | | I've waded my way through various threads on where we can take the "Edition" field from, but I've got a specific example to which I couldn't find a clear answer, so... I've got a blu-ray of 'Horrible Bosses', in a HD Keepcase, with a Slip Cover. The slip cover doesn't show an edition, just 'Horrible Bosses', but the enclosed keepcase-cover does show an edition: 'Totally Inappropriate Edition'. The actual disc, with loads of extra's including an extended cut, actually is that 'Totally Inappropriate Edition', obviously - the question just is: do we actually list that edition on the profile, as it's not mentioned on the outer slipcase, just on the keepcase artwork? The rules say this: Quote: If you are using a non-standard description, take it from the DVD box So, the question is: what exactly is the "DVD box"? Is that the slipcover, meaning I can't enter the edition, or is it the actual box, meaning I can enter the edition? |

If so, then I would say use the slipcover. --------------- |

| Posted: | | | | Why is it that every rule has to come up with its own different terminology? Why not just "take it from the cover"? IMHO, yes it's a valid edition. | | | First registered: February 15, 2002 |

I have that title and the slip cover on mine does have the edition on it. I wounder if there could be two different slip covers. Mine is 794043-150234. If there are multiple slips for the same release then this may be a "first come, first served" deal. |

| Posted: | | | | For me, 'take it from the DVD box" means anywhere on the 'box' so, yes, valid edition. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand. The Centauri learned this lesson once. We will teach it to them again. Though it take a thousand years, we will be free. - Citizen G'Kar |

If we just took it from the slip cover, I know of a few Anchor Bay TV releases where the "The Complete ____ Season" is underneath. If we only went by the slip cover, we apparently couldn't include it... (The title I'm referring to is Spartacus - Blood and Sand as well as Vengeance which is the second season). |
