| | Posted: | | | | Quick question - should be relatively painless, but I've found that not all contributors/voters think alike on this, so... Faced with a disc that has both the film's theatrical cut as well as a (longer) extended cut, but each cut has a different set of audio tracks/subtitles, how do we handle that? To me, it seems that the logical answer lies in how we deal with the running time', on which the rules are quite clear: Quote:
For branching titles, or those with multiple versions (e.g. Theatrical and Director's Cut) on the same disc, use the longest running time. So per the rules, we only look at the cut with the longest running time. Do we do the same with audio tracks and subtitles? I mean: do we only enter audio tracks and subtitles for the longest cut, and ignore any (different) audio tracks and subtitles that only accompany the shorter cut? Or do we somehow list them both, and if so, in which order, and how do we make it clear which belongs to which? |

Then I remembered that many "Extended Versions" come (at least in Germany) with Original Audio Track only.
So my new vote is: "Mix".
Sadly this results in an inconsistency regarding your quote from the rules and/or BluRay/DVD - Combos. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!

| | Posted: | | | | IMHO if they are on the disc they should be listed... no matter which cut it is for. We have the ability to list more then one Audio track and subtitles unlike what we have for running time... which is why we needed a special rule for the running time. | | | | Pete |
