| Posted: | | | | The front is just covering the lower 1/4 of the digibook. And there is just one "opening" If you can call it that. (There is no opening at the bottom). | | | Last edited: by No-way |

| Posted: | | | | I have seen these entered as slip cover many times. For me though, it's a throw-away cover. | | | First registered: February 15, 2002 |

For me though, it's a throw-away cover. Couldn't agree more. We should have a tick box for that. This doesn't look like a slip cover to me. | | | Last edited: by No-way |

Edit: umm.. rather recycle it (before the greenies jump on me) | | | Last edited: by Parsec |

I looked in my collections and in all cases like this a covering like that is used in the scans, but the slip cover box is not checked. |

| Posted: | | | | All I will add is that it looks like the cardboard wraps that you get on a lot of Steelbooks - the rear has the technical info on which covers up the steelbook artwork temporarily, and the front is cut low so the steelbook front art (one of the main draws) is visible. Example would be EAN 5060223760490 Expendables steelbook (though in that case the 'front 1/4' bit is at the top not the bottom.
I don't believe it's ever entered as a slip for these steelbooks... and neither is the thin bit of paper stuck to some other steelbooks with that gum stuff. | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |

| Posted: | | | | I handle these as Slip-Covers simply because Overview, EAN/UPC and Tech-Specs are (at leat for these 100th Anniversary DigiBooks) only to be found on the (for want of another expression) Slip-Cover. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

Slip cover checked and scan of the outer slip-cover only. or 2. Slip cover not checked and scans of the actual beautiful digibook ? (maybe with exception of the back that maybe should be of the back of the cardboard because that have bar code ? ) |

I don't understand why we didn't get that version here in the states...we got one for Jaws. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. Sounds to me like you are just jealous for not getting that version in the states. Makes no sense to scan a collectable item with that garbage on. It's just like scanning a normal slip cover with cellophane and stickers on. Horrible. |

| Posted: | | | | I agree with the Martian... and it has absolutely nothing to do with Jealousy (for me and I am sure Martian either). You see it as garbage and looking horrible.
I personally see it as providing the image as it is originally presented/sold.... no different then any other slip cover.
Just because you have a strong opinion about this subject don't mean everyone agrees with that opinion nor does it mean that opinion is supported by the rules. | | | Pete |

Are your opinion supported by the rules ? Where ? Should cellophane and stickers also be scanned ? That's also how some profiles are "originally presented/sold". | | | Last edited: by No-way |
