| | Posted: | | | | According to the rules we are supposed to take the running time from the cover.
For example the 50's dvd has a running time listed on the cover of 4 hours and 8 minutes.
However, the main feature is a documentary that runs about 91 minutes.
On the Bonus Features is a full length movie 'The Last Time I Saw Paris' and an episode of Dragnet.
Seems clear that the dvd company added up all the running time of the documentary and Bonus Features together.
So the question, which running time to use, the one according to the rules 248 minutes or the one that is only for the documentary 91 minutes? |

| | Posted: | | | | I think that rule is a bit strange. It also says that we use the actual running time if there is a discrepancy. In my opinion we thus always use what's actually on the disc. We check the disc and use that.
For your question, i'd go for the running time of the documentary only,

If this were in my collection, I'd make manual child profiles for the bonus programs. |

FACT: Imdb is WRONG 70% of the time! Misspelled cast, incomplete cast, wrong cast/crew roles. So for those who want DVD Profiler to be "as perfect as Imdb", good luck with that.
Stop adding UNIT crew! They're invalid credits. Stop it! |
