| Posted: | | | | I've not noticed it before, but nearly 90% of all my movies have lost their cast-listing at a time. I tried to get the info from a previous backup, but with no success; the cast-listing stays empty.
I've also tried to update from the Invelos database (profiles), no success...
Any solution to this? With more than 700 movies in the database, I don't want to re-enter all my information... |

| Posted: | | | | First let's check if the info is really gone or if this is a display problem.
Flag a random movie that hasn't cast anymore (e.g. by pressing space)
The select File -> Export Profile Database -> Flagged Profiles.
Check the XML for cast & crew. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

If yes, a database-repair should be your first step. Make a backup and then Tools -> Options -> Utilities -> Repair profile database cya, Mithi | | | Mithi's little XSLT tinkering - the power of XML --- DVD-Profiler Mini-Wiki |

| Posted: | | | | Sorry, have tried both suggestions, nothing yet... The display-problem: The problem is apparent at the web-site too. I've tried to flag the movie "In Bruges", look at the xml, no cast&crew. The database-repair didn't do magic... I notice my new DVDs gets the info, but I don't want to delete and re-enter nearly all my movies...with prices, how many times watched etc... I do, however, notice that when a movie get a profile update with cast, the cast is again presented...hurray! So if I just wait and wait and wait and... |

That sounds like DVD Profiler is just 'unwilling' to update. If so, you could flag the profiles in question (take a few to test it first) and go Collection -> Flagged -> Refresh that should force a refresh of those profiles. cya, Mithi PS Be aware however that this doesn't give you the usual dialog to choose what to update but mercilessly overwrites everything that is not locked! | Posted: | | | | Ha! That sure helped! Kind of boring to check approx. 470 movies/post, but absolutely worth it!
Thanks! |
