| Posted: | | | | Is there a way to sort one's collection by showing if the dvd profile differs from the DVDProfiler database or doesn't have an entry?
I'd like a way to see which of my dvd's are not the same as, or don't exist in, the master database. |

Curiously enough, there isn't. Quoting Parsec: Quote: I'd like a way to see which of my dvd's are not the same as, or don't exist in, the master database. I requested this very thing here. |

| Posted: | | | | I see your linked request is a little bit more involved then what I was envisaging.
Still I would like some type of sorting preference to easily see these dvd's. Reason is, being fairly new, I have been populating my DVDProfiler just using other entries (changing UPC etc) or incomplete added entries for those that don't exist in the DB. Now that I entered them all (and I don't have thousands like other people do - I'm a minor collector), I am looking to contribute ones i have or edit others I have that have discrepancies etc, but the only way I can find which ones need attention is to manually click on each and check the icons in the general tab (frustrating!). Actually last weekend I yet again got my entire collection and went through them again one by one, this time leaving all those that don't have a database entry out on the table - so I know which have to have profiles fixed and contributed. This is a bit annoying to people who want to use the table for other purposes :-)
I kind of think with future DVD purchases I am going to need a system for somehow remembering those that need new profiles contributed since I doubt I'll do them immediately as I get the new DVD.
I guess I should put this in the Desktop Feature Request forum? |

| Posted: | | | | Yes, I agree and I know what you mean. Been there done that I ended up creating Tags to track changes... in the beginning. But that quickly got tiresome. Then there is Notes, but this too is tedious. DVDP doesn't offer any tracking of changes locally othere than the fact that a profile has been changed, hence my request. After there is some way to track changes of a profile internally, implementing some sort capabilities should not be difficult. I would love to have all that in a future DVDP release. Yes, this is a feature request too, please move it. And feel free to extend mine or create a new one. |
