Hello, I'm a new user so please excuse me if this is very obvious.

I have several box sets of DVDs that aren't recognised by the UPC so I add them manually. I've added the DVD titles to the "Discs" page in Edot but don't know how to get them "Assigned" in the "Box Set" page.

TIA for any assistance.

To save time is there any way to tell DVD Profiler that my DVD is a box set?

Thank you. John.

In order to be able to assign them in the "box set" section, they need to be actual profiles.

Even when DVDP does not recognize the UPC, you can still add the DVD.

It will ask you for the title of the DVD and the purchase country (=locality) and then you have a barebone profile.

Then you can go to the box set profile, edit it add the child profiles by searching for their title.

Surely the box set itself has a UPC/EAN that you can add to DVD Profiler?

Yes but they are not recognised so I'm entering them manually as well.

I'm following your very helpful advice and I'm able to assign the first "child" to the correct Box Set but for the second and subsequent "child" entries the list of Box Sets doesn't show the "parent".

I'm sorry to be a nuisance but have you coe macross this problem?

Thank you agian.

No you're thinking the wrong way around.

You assign the children in the parent profile, not the parent in the child profiles.

Undo all box set associations you've done for this set. Now open the parent profile (i.e. the box set profile).

Now add all the children in the "box set" section.
