Older films are being released on DVD and Blu-ray. I recently purchased a copy of "Fritz the Cat". The ratings list doesn't have the original "X" rating that the movie was given. It only has "NC-17" or "Adult". For the sense of accuracy, could you include "X" in the next update?

The ratings represent, i believe, the formal ratings applied by the locale/country.

'X' is not a formal rating used by the MPAA in the U.S.

For DVD Profiler purposes the correct setting for "Fritz the Cat" would, i presume, be Adult.

Bad movie?  You're soaking in it!

Actually rated X was originally part of the MPAA ratings but they forgot to trademark it like they did the other ratings and it was quickly taken over by the porn industry thereby keeping mainstream filmmakers from wanting to release movies that would get an X rating (and then being associated in the minds of the general population with porn). This resulting in the MPAA eventually replacing the X rating with the NC-17 rating (which they did trademark).
