| Posted: | | | | Got the notice to upgrade DVD Profiler yesterday, upgrade went fine. While looking at the realease notes I noticed the black hint box for Men In Black II and thought it looked pretty good. Went to Layouts, Custom Collection Hint, found the DirecTV Hint that Ken had put together, downloaded and installed it, followed the instructions to choose that for the layout, and it screwed EVERYTHING up.
I'm using the Invelos Default - High Resolution, in Obsidian (1280 x 1024 on a standard LCD). When I installed the new Hint layout, the entire layout changed DRAMATICALLY. The Cover images retreated to a little box in the upper right, the filter box was below it, and something else was between them (can't remember exactly what now). The Collection List had expanded to fill the left 2/3 of the DVD Profiler window, the list itself was GONE, completely devoid of any of my DVDs. It was a train wreck that I had to remedy by changing back to my preferred Layout, then doing a database Restore to make sure everything was back to normal. I've since deleted the Hint layout.
All I wanted was the new Hint display, thought it looked pretty good. What I got was a completely jumbled re-arrangement that didn't make any sense.
Just wanted to vent. -kd5- | | | Time is the fire in which we burn. (Soran) | | | Last edited: by kd5 |

| Posted: | | | | I did not know that... Thanks! Looks like I'm going to have to give it another try, only this time I need to pay attention. Thanks again, -kd5- | | | Time is the fire in which we burn. (Soran) |
