1) Where can i find a 3.7.n version for testing?
2) How can it be installed so it can be installed along side the current 3.8 version.  Is this possible?  if not then i can install on a laptop

Thanks

It is probably possible, but not advisable. If I were doing it, I wouldn't want to pollute the test environment or make things more complicated.

What is it that you are wanting to test and why? Maybe there is another apprach to meeting your goal. There are a bunch of experienced guys in this forum that have "seen it all." Maybe somebody has an idea for you ...
Thanks for your support.

<sigh> .. i would have thought that my 'oddities' posts would have given a glimps into what my problems are.  Extreme slowdown, grid acting odd in different ways etc.

I wanted a 3.7.n to see if it the behaviors happened before i did the upgrade.  I don't understand how it could 'pollute' anything .. especially if i loaded it on a different system.

But since there was no reply about where i might find a 3.7.n I guess i will just have to start with a 3.8 on a new system and see if I can find when the problem, if there is one, started.

As i haven't gotten any real ideas, unless i missed them, I guess i will test this as i would any other product i have used for the last 20 years.

Now i have to find the Registration details so i can install a full version <sigh>

Thanks
DSig

The support forum is for user-to-user support.  If you're looking for a response from the support team, the recommended method is to open a support ticket via the support link at the top of this page.

It doesn't give you reliable comparison method eather. First things first, ditch Vista.

NO i will not ditch vista.  I have been using it since it came out and it has never failed me with any sw i use.  I develop programs, both windows and others and have never had any problems.

Since dvdProfiler was working correctly upto about 1-2 weeks ago i can only guess that something that has changed with how i am using it, plugins, added data etc, or with dvdProfiler itself (something in the upgrade).  Since others do not seem to have any problems I can only guess it has something to do with my specifics of my install.

I am trying to work that out.

KinoNiki .. thanks for that.  In another thread I noted that i had installed a fresh 3.8 and restored my db from last night and it is working correctly .. well what i call correctly <G>

So i can only assume that the problem is with the install on my desktop.

As soon as i get a couple questions about backups answered I will be un-installing dvdProfiler from my desktop and reinstall completely.  Hope this takes care of the problems i have been having.

Thanks again
DSig
