| Posted: | | | | This one is not clear in the rules, and this is the exact reason why I had originally requested that Blu-ray 3D be implemented as a format, not a feature.
See UPC # 097361445342
This title comes with a 3D Blu-ray and a DVD... there is no 2D blu-ray option... so... does this profile get the 2D/3D tag the same as a combo pack that has both?
I assume the correct answer is that it does, but then it should be made a parent profile to 2 disc ID's that further detail the issue disc by disc...
I have about 15 titles like this, so just let me know before I start updating the online database.
Thanks! | | | -JoN |

| Posted: | | | | That's a hybrid 2D/3D disc. so it effectively does contain a 2D Blu-ray. |

By the Blu-ray 3D standard both the 2D and 3D versions can be encoded. What you ahve to watch out for is most releases that have a separate 2d BD Disc the 2D version is not encoded on the 3D disc.
With this particularr title the 3D disc looks like includes the 2D so it would play on a 2D blu-ray player.
Do you have a 2D player to test it on? |
