| Posted: | | | | According to Ken when I previously asked about this, no collection number equals a collection number of negative 1 behind the scenes. I should be able to change this with BulkEdit on 3.8. I have all the stuff I want to denumber tagged, but I can't figure out how to do it. I'm looking for some quick way to paste the same value into a given column for all currently loaded profiles. |

| Posted: | | | | I was having some issues with multi copy as well, I got warning that the column was read only.
I was only trying to edit Location and slot info, ended up doing it line by line for 300 discs. It was still faster than trying to do it in DVDP.

| Posted: | | | | That's what happened to me as well. Since I have about 2400 discs to change, typing manually isn't a good option. |

| Posted: | | | | Yea I only had to move a bunch to a new 995 so it wasn't too bad. 2400 I think my head would have exploded -R |

| Posted: | | | | Gee whiz. Makes me a bit sad to see that several people had problems - was I not responsive when you reported the errors?
I just used BulkEdit on 3.8 Beta 1509 and used MultiCopy regedit and find/replace to edit Collection#, Location and Slot. Is it fair to report problems after the fact, in the wrong thread, without having given the author notice and a chance to correct the issue? I got no chance to question your methods, which version your were using or anything. I am wondering what the point is of me spending so much time on this ... | Posted: | | | | I posted here instead of the BulkEdit thread because I was pretty sure this was a matter of not knowing how to use it, not a bug in the plug-in. (There was also a chance that the underlying bug that kept me from doing this in 3.7 wasn't fixed, but that doesn't seem to be the case.) | | | Last edited: by Ace_of_Sevens |

-R ????????? I have even written custom code for you - and you didn't report this problem to me. Bulk edit was designed originally to edit location and slot, so what kind of priority do you think I would have placed on problems doing that? I'm flabbergasted ... | | | Thanks for your support. | Posted: | | | | Jim, I just happened to see Ace's post, I in all honestly figured I was doing something wrong. I have never personally had very smooth experiences with the multi copy feature.
Something else as I was working in the 3.8 Beta and I recall you were re working some code and checking on other 3.8 issues. In all honestly I was going to PM you today about it, figuring that it was how I was trying to edit the fields.
Take a breath, it is not like we were slamming your plug in and saying it was complete garbage and you don't support your software, we comment we had an odd quirk and I was just letting Ace know he wasn't the only one that seemed to have run into it.
