| Posted: | | | | What happens when you scan with the tool that came with your scanner? | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | Try a quick test scan at a lower resolution (i.e. smaller image), and see if that works.
I too still use XP with 4Gb of RAM, and have no problems at any resolution. |

| Posted: | | | | I have no idea why it doesn't work for you as I have half the RAM you have and I've no problem. |

| Posted: | | | | Hiya all! Jimmy S: thanks for telling me that you had no problem with 2 GB RAM - that helped... I tried to scan with the scanner tool the scanner came with, thanks for reminding me, Lewis_Prothero! It did not work properly, so I reinstalled the scanner software and tried again with reduced resolution (thank you analogueman). Now it's working!
Thanks a lot! |

| Posted: | | | | some time a quick reboot/restart fixes the problem.. | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. Now the World is weird and People take Prozac to make it Normal.
