Hi @ all,

because I do travel a lot and do have several homes in different countries,
I did store my DVD database on dropbox,
so that I can use and update it everywhere.
I do also use my iPhone, my iPad or my HTC Sensation Anroid phone in order to search my database,
when I'm visiting video shops.

In the past that works quite fine,
but now it seems,
that it is not possible to connect an iOS version with a dropbox or sugarsync account,
because there is no possibility so browse for an existing data base.

Any idea how to connect my iOS versions with a dropbox or sugarsync account?

Thanks a lot for help!

Regards

Stefan

PS
I would really hate to change over to collectorz'  movie database,
because it is really worse.

That is not possible at the moment. Neither is syncing via iCloud.
Ken said that a future version will allow syncing with the DVDP online database. For the moment we can only wait and hope.

That is very BAD !!!

So it is not possible to add entries from my different mobile devices,
although the online Version??

Not really State-of-the-Art, indeed!

Very disappointing.

After Five years I will now have to buy another application
- and to move over my DVDs (about 1500)

So: farewell DVD profilier!

You can add titles from different iOS devices. Try it.

A database is a tool that is queried upon as needed. Dropbox can't support such interactions.

You can't operate ANY database from ANY application in the way a database is supposed to operate.

You just need a PC in all your locations.  Download from dropbox to PC, and sync the PC to your device.

Wherever you go, if you have a PC there, you can sync to your device.  I don't see a problem at all.
