| Posted: | | | | Is the Cast of this movie "standard cast" or "voice cast" like in all other animation movies? As the featurettes indicate the actors of this movie really played the roles and did not only vocalize them... |

| Posted: | | | | As you say, they not only provided the voices, but a lot of the actual acting too. If some people did only provide the voices, it's going to be very hard to work out which ones they were.
It's a similar situation with "The Polar Express", but that film had separate voice-only roles credited alongside the actors. | | | Last edited: by GreyHulk |

| Posted: | | | | I haven't watched it yet, but trailers and promotional making-ofs indicate, it's a hybrid with much motion capture. So for me it is clearly not "voice only" and if they don't have a clear cast division inside the credits, I'd go with "standard cast". If the studios don't care about subtle differences and give everyone a regular cast credit, why should we start (new) distinctions, that no one on the professional level seems to care about? |

| Posted: | | | | While, I do not agree with this rule completely Quoting Rules Quote: For animated films or voice-only roles, use the "Voice" checkbox. There isn't a lot of wriggle room here, so. Since TinTin is motion capture animation, they get voice checkbox... Charlie |

| Posted: | | | | agree as well - as the the Voices are done after the capture and are ..dubbed in in Post production many months later in some cases .. | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. Now the World is weird and People take Prozac to make it Normal.

The fact that they used motion capture doesn't change the fact that it is animated. As such, the rules are quite clear..." use the "Voice" checkbox." | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. Not sure what your point is...mainly because you didn't make one...but the rules are quite clear in this case. The only way the "Voice" checkbox isn't used is if this is NOT an animated film. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. | Posted: | | | | As I said martian I have to disagree. The voice box misrepresented the work calling it something it is not. This is a simple case of sa rule and/or program change to reflect the changing industry. | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! CBE, MBE, MoA and proud of it. Outta here

You have a way of stating your opinions, as if they are fact and nobody should question them, but in a way where you can always backtrack and say, "I never said that." Your avatar is perfect. I mean, absolutely perfect. This is a simple case of sa rule and/or program change to reflect the changing industry. Disagree all you want, but the rule is still quite clear. "For animated films...which this is...use the "Voice" checkbox.". While a program or rule change would be nice, we don't have that and under the current rules and program, not checking the box would be against the rules. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
