Unable to Connect Using Parallel 5 Using Mac OS 10.6.5 with Windows XP

I have several Mac email address, however I can't seem to set one up on the PC or Windows side which will allow me to operate programs such as Turbo Tax.  In searching the web I have found other entries where people have noted that you have to re configure VM Ware to use the AirPort wireless controller.  Looking for step by step instruction if someone can point me in the direction.  Love the Mac but Parallels at times has got to be the most frustrating thing on the face of the earth.
