| Posted: | | | | I'm not (and I'd think if this was a regular problem we've have been hearing about it constantly now)
Can you give some specifics:
- Is DVDP set to recognize the drive? (Tools -> Options -> System -> CD-ROM Drive -> drop down list)
- What edition of Windows 7 are you using? - Are having problems reading DVDs through other software such as what you possibly use for playing your DVDs or at "My Computer" actually displaying the drive? - Is this a sudden problem? - Have you tried running via diagnostic setup (hold CTRL while Profiler is loading) not loading plugins, etc, and seeing if there is any change? | | | If at first you don't succeed, skydiving isn't for you.

| Posted: | | | | This only seems to have started to happen this week, could this weeks Windows updates have anything to do with it? |

| Posted: | | | | Will not generally say "No", but have no problems here (using HP, Pro and Ultimate in both 32 and 64 Bit versions).
My first guess would be a defective DVD-ROM drive. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | intrigued by your request so checked this out on my windows 7 laptop with the latest updates just the other day. fired up my profiler and randomly selected a dvd off my shelf and inserted into the tray and the title popped up in my profiler..
so everything is okay......
one area you my want to check after you do a repair/profile /database tool.. try a chkdsk (scanned disc for errors) .. this sometimes fixes a lot of problems associated with windows platform.... | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird.
