Have you tried rebooting your entire system?
When you say that you can't close, does the window ever hide (even though the process continues to run)? | | | If at first you don't succeed, skydiving isn't for you.

Sometimes a popup window of DVDProfiler hides in the background, thus preventing it from working properly.
When working with Win7 all' you'd have to do for checking is hovering the mouse over the Profiler icon in the taskbar. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
