I hav'nt been using DVD profiler for quite a long time now, but I still have a copy of my database from the Windows version.

Is it possible to install the iOS version on my iPad and transfer the database to work on this device ... stand alone! I still have my PC and a connection by WiFi, but why would i need to turn on my PC, since I'm not using it because I have have an iMac as my working computer?

Yes, you can transfer your existing database to the iOS version and only use the iOS version from then on. However, the iOS version doesn't offer all the features of the desktop version.
If you still have a Windows installation disc, I would recommend running Windows in a virtual machine on your Mac. Parallels Desktop works really well for me. I think you can get VirtualBox for free, but it seems to be less user-friendly than the commercial products.

and just to clarify this - yes, you can transfer your existing database to the ios version if you switch on your pc and then transfer the data from there. you can't transfer the data any other way

Can I find a compare list somewhere? (I'm a little lazy, you know)

was it clear that you need to use your old dvd profiler on the PC (and that this needs to be running)? The ios version connects to the PC version and then loads all the profiles from the PC

I don't think there is a list like that.

For a start, you can't edit profiles on the iPhone (with the exception of personal information). Renumbering your collection is only possible by manually editing the collection number in each profile. There is currently no access to the online database.
