What type of case types for the parent and children?

It's like a box where you open it from the front and inside is a digipak of the movies.

Question 2:
In regards to Edition for the children profiles, would I enter the following for example.

Ray: 3-Disc Limited Edition or just Ray and leave the edition blank?

I think you just answered the question yourself.
Case type for parent: Box
Case type for children: Digipak

For editions, what I usually do is putting the name of the collection in the edition field of all the children, such as:
Ray: The Jamie Foxx Film Collection
Miami Vice: The Jamie Foxx Film Collection
etc.
But since they have their own editions printed on the box, it can't be wrong to use them.

I would use the editions, that are listed with each individual title, as they are specific to each film.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

I agree, because the disc ID's for  the children may be common to other box sets later.  An edition of "The Jamie Foxx Film Collection" is really incorrect.

Edition is mainly to descriinate versions of the film.
