| Posted: | | | | Hi, i've recently added "Cleopatra" BD Italian version. In the audio track there's RUSSIAN 5.1 VOICE OVER. There's no entry for "Voice Over" in track list. Solution ? |

| Posted: | | | | Is it a Commentary or a Russian dubbing of the Italian?
There are selections for those. | | | Bad movie? You're soaking in it! |

| Posted: | | | | You just choose Russian as that is the language of the audio track. A lot of UK releases have Polish/Russian voice overs (which is essentially a dub by just one person for all characters). I would love to see a checkbox to show voiceover. |

| Posted: | | | | I had a laser disc of Cinema Paradiso in the 90s that had a voice over track in English if you didn't want the original Italian.
It was obviously only a single person with limited range in voices. He could do only two and they sounded like Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble. So everyone in Cinema Paradiso sounded like a Flintstone character. Very strange. | | | Bad movie? You're soaking in it! |

But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | I've tried a few things in German which often times has horrid dubs, like one guy to do all the male roles, one gal to do all the women. I think they make for good comedy if in a certain mood, or very annoying in not in that certain mood. My girlfriend teaches German and lived there for while. She told me she saw a few American flicks in theaters while there, and all were dubbed, none subbed. Still better than delayed VO, reminding me of... I recently downloaded what was supposed to be a dvd rip of a movie called Removal, unfortunatly it was a Russian-dvd rip, complete with voice-over. Even worse, you could almost make out the original English behind the bad VO, but the VO was just enough to ruin everything. All I could really get was the first words when someone talked, as not only was it VO, the VO was like 3 seconds behind the screen action. Thankfully US language rips appeared when the dvd was released here. |
