| Posted: | | | | I don't know if it was an update to some piece of software or the installation of another program, but I no longer can access the video. If I view the trailer directly on Youtube, I have no problems, so it's not that. I think it is something related to the embedding. I've included a screen shot to show the error I am receiving. http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/705/screen2dk.png | | | Last edited: by synnerman |

| Posted: | | | | I had this same problem once before.... even brought it to the forum like this. Turned out I just needed to reboot the computer. We sometimes forget the real basics. So I have to ask... did you try rebooting your computer? | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | Did a full reboot and updated my Adobe Flash, but to no avail. I thought that it might have something to do with switching from Firefox to Chrome as my default, but when I switched it back to test the theory, it didn't fix the problem. I'm completely stumped. |

| Posted: | | | | Quoting synnerman: Quote: ... when I switched it back ... Did you shut down all browsers and restart DVDP? Did you try rebooting after the change? There is so much cacheing and cookies and registry monkey business going on in windows, I usually don't consider any test conclusive unless it includes a reboot. May be overkill, but usually harmless. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! BDPFrog. | | | Last edited: by mediadogg |

| Posted: | | | | You can also try flushing your cache and cookies in all browser. If memory serves, DVDP utilizes IE. |

| Posted: | | | | I've cleaned the cache and cookies from all the browsers on my system (even ran CCleaner just in case). I ran through msconfig to see if something new was running that could be interfering, but found nothing unusual. I looked through the processes in Task Manager, but didn't see anything that might be conflicting. And, yes, I've rebooted the entire system after doing all of it, but there is no change. I still keep getting that little symbol in the left hand top corner of the trailer window instead of the video.
Very frustrating. |

| Posted: | | | | Ok, some more stuff to try:
Right click in the window area. Do you get a context menu? What are the options?
- If you get browser options, try View Source for clues - If you Adobe options, check "About" for version info
Also, what happens when you click "View More Trailers"? You can post the menu or a screenshot to get other ideas ...
BTW if you are not getting a Flash menu, perhaps you got the "Run Flash" option turned off by mistake in your Internet Options. Also check Popup Blocker. | | | Thanks for your support. | Posted: | | | | No Adobe options, I only get browser options. If I click "View More Trailers", it brings me to Invelos' page for adding links. If I click on the trailer, it will open it in my browser and play, but not in the trailer window. I'm not sure where the "Run Flash" option is found in Internet Options. ETA: Redacted the large blockquote that was messing up the page now that the problem has been solved below. | | | Last edited: by synnerman |

| Posted: | | | | "In my browser" - do you mean IE? Maybe you answered that already.
DVDP uses IE, and IE must be established as the defualt browser, and you must have enabled the ability to run flash in the IE Internet Options.
Try windows or IE help - this is something you should know about. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! BDPFrog. | | | Last edited: by mediadogg |

| Posted: | | | | If you have HTML turned on for Notes,
copy and paste this into notes:
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/0knzIkqq-lk&autoplay=1&fs=1&ap=%2526fmt%3D18">Trailer</a>
You should get a YouTube window in Notes. If not, then you definitely have a problem with DVDP / IE association.
(Good post about ActiveX - I thought I remembered "Flash"). | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! BDPFrog. | | | Last edited: by mediadogg |

Try windows or IE help - this is something you should know about. I finally fixed it. I knew that IE didn't have to be the default browser for the trailer window to work (it hasn't been my default browser for a long, long time). Since you indicated that it required Flash, I had made sure that it was updated in Google Chrome and Firefox (it was working fine), but then I realized that it must have been out of date in IE. A quick update to Flash 11 in IE fixed the problem. |

Apparently, after this whole thing, it is the default as far as Profiler is concerned, but any browser can be the system default. I was using Firefox until a recent update seemed to screw up a few pages, including Invelos. I reluctantly switched to Google Chrome, but so far it has been surprisingly decent. |
