| Posted: | | | | I noticed that the images were not linking with correct profile information in my database. I started the database repair and as indicated it shut down profiler and it appears to be running as I see it listed in Windows task manager. I have let it sit for several hours and I see no message that it is running or it has completed. I have a large database of movies lists (about 6500). My question is how long should this repair (if it is working) take? Should I at some time get a repair completed window. How do I know if it is not working? |

| Posted: | | | | You can sort task manager processes by CPU - see if the repair program is using any resources. If your PC is underpowered, especially memory, certain programs can appear to be hung, when in fact they are always waiting for resources they will likely never get. Can you confirm that you have a reasonably modern PC with at least 2GB of memory and several GB of free space on your system drive? If so, then you might have to risk a reboot and start over - but that's your own decision. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. | Posted: | | | | When the "Database Repair" is running there's a new Window supposed to come up.
If you didn't see this program-window something obviously went wrong. Please restart your machine and start the Database Repair Tool from Windows Start Menu -> All Programs -> DVD Profiler -> Database Repair Utility. Do not start DVD Profiler main-program first. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | Thanks Media Dog - my computer is a little undersized 2.1 gh processor with 1.75 gigs of RAM Thanks Silence of the Lambs - I tried your suggestion and the repair function opened but locked up repeatedly. Something is obiviously toast in the program probably compounded by the fact it is on one of my older computers that needs more horsepower I am going to reinstall the program on a bigger more powerful computer and re download the database. But thanks for your help - This forum is great. i really appreciate the help
