I find all my new entries end up with just the genre locked. This is not at my request and a search through options does give me the option to untick this lock. It is not a big issue and can of course be removed later but I would like to start off with everything unlocked. Anyone got any ideas?

Go to top of the profiler page to Collection > Flags > Flag All Filtered > Set Locks.

You can lock/unlock any fields you like including Genre.

When you're done personalizing the data go back to Collection > Flags > Unflag all.

Genre is one of the few fields that is auto-locked from the start.  I don't believe it was always like that, and I can't remember why it was changed but, unfortunately, there isn't anything you can do to start out with it unlocked.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.
