Hey guys,
I have few questions before I will contribute this edition to the Profiler:
http://www.ultimatemovieforum.com/showthread.php?1939-Burlesque-Best-Buy-Exclusive-(BD-DVD-US)

1. Need help to decide which edition is the correct one. Here are a few options I came up with:

  • Best Buy Exclusive

  • Exclusive Burlesque Corset

  • Or maybe I should leave it blank?

    2. What kind of case type is it? Box or Custom?
    3. Should I enter a bare bones profile and add the Combo case as a child?

    Your help is much appreciated

I would leave the edition field blank.

Judging by the picture on the link you provided, the Best Buy Exclusive is just a sticker.
The Exclusive Burlesque Corset text is partly blocked by the Best Buy price sticker. It looks like it reads Inside underneath the sticker.

If that's the case then I don't think that equals an Edition as such and is just promoting the freebie inside.

So yeah, I would leave the Edition blank and just list the Corset as an Other Feature.

    Fully agree with CubbyUps
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

I have a simliar thing with 300 from Best Buy, but just noticed that said Exclusive Limited Edition on the box and in the edition field.

So, I'm gonna guess the UPC is different on the "corset" box than the standard BD/DVD under it right? I've seen this handled many ways and not sure what is right.
My Hancock 3-disc (Circuit City, R.I.P.) I used to have had a parent profile for the outer box with a child profile for the standard 2-disc set inside and another for the bonus disc.
My 300 (Best Buy) ingnores the other UPC on the standard dvd inside, going with the outer box UPC only.

2 - My 300 says slipcase, Hancock custom, so can't help on case type.

3 - I honestly don't know, seen it done both ways.

I have a tie-breaker with a Ghost Rider exclusive from Target. This doesn't have any exclusive video, just a new slipcover and inner notes. It's listed as a slipcase on it's own, no parent/child profile.

I can see Cubby's point as well, although I would want something noting it is a different edition than normal. You could always just note it locally, or lock in your own edition and call it whatever you feel like. Wish I could've been more help in how to contribute it, but it looks like own UPC from outer box would be closest to what I've seen done for similar things.

    Thanks for the feedback.
I've contributed the set without any "edition", classified it as Custom and added the standard combo as a child (the parent I left pretty bare bone).
