I was wondering just how modular this application is? I work with large Oracle databases, and would love to be able to port the app to use Oracle Express (which is free) as it's datasource. IS there an data layer that could be replaced without major alterations to the higher levels?
This would enable me to really go to town with reports and smart filters |

This would enable me to really go to town with reports and smart filters See the Database Query plugin as an example of what is possible. But be aware that even plugin developers have limited access to the proprietary database, for obvious business reasons. Also see members DJ Doena and Mithi for other data tools. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! I did it with MS Access, also for the purpose of reports and such But you can't replace the database engine underneath DVDP, sorry. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online
