| Posted: | | | | If I select Online --> Refresh DVD from Invelos --> Preview Changes... it always claims that there are some differences on Audio section, but I cannot see any differences. If I update profile, nothing changes. After that if I run Preview Changes again, it still claims that there is a difference.
I have two separate databases on two different computers and they both have this issue, so I don't believe this is tied to certain database. I've also run Database repair tool several times, but no change. I've found only handfull of profiles out of my +1500 profiles which don't have this issue.
Anyone else noticed this behaviour?
Same result with Default Preview and Goodguy's PCP Preview. Removing Goodguy's plugin doesn't do any difference. |

| Posted: | | | | This has been going on for a long time, and appears to be quite harmless. Except that you lose time to look for differences, but after a while you learn to ignore the audio section. | | | Hans |

I opened a support ticket about this issue and got responce "We'll need more information to go on. If you run into this in a particular case, please open a support ticket so we can investigate." | Posted: | | | | I reported this way back, during the beta phase of Version 3.6.0 Build 1382 (can't link to the posting, only to the thread). It seems that after splitting the fields for audio codec and audio channels, the comparison screen in build 1380 didn't show differences when only changing the channels. Fixing this in build 1382 introduced the current problem. Ken couldn't reproduce it, and it appears, disappears and re-appears again pretty randomly on almost every profile (no, full Db repair won't help... been there, done that). A work-around seemed to work at first, but after a while the problem re-appeared on the same, seemingly fixed profiles. |

| Posted: | | | | Hi gang,
I think that this happens because of the last changes in the program Ken made to expand the audio section. It's almost like the overview filter that gets applied. If you you go ahead and update the profile accepting the audio changes and don't give it another thought for the remainder of this session, the next time you start the program and preview changes, the program no longer reports an audio change for that particular profile.
It was starting to bug me to, so I spent a couple hours, experimenting with this and found the above works 99.9% of the time. I say that, because I think once in a while it doesn't. Just my 2 pennies. | | | Marty - Registered July 10, 2004, User since 2002. |

Doesn't work for me. I tried several times with several profiles. And if this is about a change made a long time ago why do I have this same problem with the profiles initially contributed 2012? |

| Posted: | | | | Good news, from Ken Cole to my support ticket:
"In this case the audio section has an invisible entry on track number 3. To fix, edit the profile and change track 3's format to something, then back to blank. Save the results.
We've added a check for this in the upcoming 3.8." |

You do not, it is corrected automatically. Really? How is this done automatically? I just checked a random set of profiles and they all show a change in the audio section where no change exists. Are you saying that if I update the profile now the audio section will correct itself? Ummm...I just did that with one of them and it still shows a change exists. Or are you saying that this will be done automatically for version 3.8? If so, when can we expect version 3.8 to be released? | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

I read them to mean we have to wait for the next version for it to be automatically fixed. In which case I also have to ask ...

"If so, when can we expect version 3.8 to be released?" I assumed the Forum Moderator would realize that I was referring to the Here-and-now and not some time in the distant future when 3.8 is released. So, in other words, It's not automatically done right now...like I said . If I want it done now then I will have to manually edit all of my affected profiles to correct the error. | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |
