| Posted: | | | | So you have 1500 new DVDs and add Genres to all of them?
Phew. I don't know if BulkEdit can do this, but as a start:
Flag all your RomCom movies by pressing the space bar. Select the first one. Edit it and add Romance, Comedy as genres. Select DVD->Copy Select Collection->Flagged->Paste->Genres.
Now all your RomComs have Romance/Comedy.
But be aware: If you paste genres (or any field for that matter) you cannot mix&match. So if you have a Sci-Fi RomCom and later paste the genre Sci-Fi on all your Sci-Fi movies including one you have tagged RomCom previously, the RomCom genres will get lost. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

| Posted: | | | | DJ I agree your method seems best. I don't see any need for BulkEdit in this case, but you could use it if you just happen to have it open doing other things. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Thanks for your hints! Could you please elaborate a bit? Like: where do I tag and where do I hit the space bar? I still find the program rather bewildering (wish somebody wrote a book, I would buy it!). The only thing I'm capable of is entering dvd's and searching in the upper left field...
Thanks for your trouble! |

| Posted: | | | | Why don't you just download the genres that are already assigned to your movies from the online database?
This will at least give your moves a starting point which you can change or add to at your leisure. |
