I've lot my database on my Vista machine running version 3.7.2. The backup file is on another machine and is only 8 days old.  When I run "Restore Database", I get an error message, Access Violation, with specific address information.  What's wrong?

If you can access that other machine save the .dpb onto a flash drive.. then restore that file thru the usb port back to the new profiler on the newer machine ...(complete overwrite) ..

I seem to recall that a restore into a new database was the best way to avoid errors. Not sure if I'm totally correct on that, but something else you can try. Running database repair goes without saying ..
