| Posted: | | | | How do I contribute Vladimir Pospišil, but with an acute above the dot in the 1st i in Vladimir and the 1st i in Pospišil? Just skip the acutes? I've never seen this one before. | | | My one wish for the DVD Profiler online database: Ban or remove the disc-level profiles of TV season sets. It completely screws up/inflates the CLT. FACT: Imdb is WRONG 70% of the time! Misspelled cast, incomplete cast, wrong cast/crew roles. So for those who want DVD Profiler to be "as perfect as Imdb", good luck with that. Stop adding UNIT crew! They're invalid credits. Stop it! | | | Last edited: by huskersports |

| Posted: | | | | Use Windows' Character Map. There are three distinct results, depending on the character:
1. Some characters immediately loose the accent. What works for š does not work for some other letters. 2. Some characters are displayed as a vertical line in the edit window, but display properly afterwards, That is, until a copy/paste of that data. 3. The character displays as intended. This is the case for í as well. | | | Hans |

| Posted: | | | | That's not what I meant, Staid. I'll clarify: the acute is in addition to the dot, so it's i (plus the acute over the . ) | | | My one wish for the DVD Profiler online database: Ban or remove the disc-level profiles of TV season sets. | Posted: | | | | Is it a diaeresis acute?
Edit: a diaeresis acute i does not display. So it might not be able to be used. | | | If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world. -- Thorin Oakenshield | | | Last edited: by Danae Cassandra |

Yep, here is where I learnt about that. Quite an interesting thread: http://www.invelos.com/Forums.aspx?task=viewtopic&topicID=495257&PageNum=1 |

Edit: a diaeresis acute i does not display. So it might not be able to be used. It's not the diaeresis acute. It's the i combined with the acute (Acute on top of the .) I'm thinking I'll have to contribute the name without the problem character. | | | My one wish for the DVD Profiler online database: Ban or remove the disc-level profiles of TV season sets. | Posted: | | | | In that case, please contribute it with an i which is more accurate than leaving the character out altogether. Or an í may be even better, but that is your judgement call.
An i with both a dot and an acute does not appear to exist in any of the character sets that Character Map supports. | | | Hans |
